Homeward Bound
We've made the first step of our trip home. I left the OK Corral this morning to head back to Camp Habbaniyah. I'll post a few more short updates as we keep making our way back to North Carolina.

Comments:
We sure are looking forward to seeing you again, son. The current temperature in Concord is 83, and the expected low tonight is 62. Just thought you'd like to know what you can look forward to. Great weather for driving a Jeep with the top down.

It'll be good to see you!

I just discovered your blog earlier this week - I've been reading the whole thing (right now I'm through July) and I should be caught up...oh, the time you get back.

By the way, there will be someone new to meet you when you get back!

Hope your mvmt home goes well. Glad you guys are done.
Soup

Soup, great to hear from you. Glad you guys are home okay. I'll e-mail you on NIPR once we're back, I've got one story in particular about your favorite IA captain that I know you'll appreciate.

Cant say how much I have enjoyed reading your blog this past summer. Glad to hear you are going to make it back home safe with many of your men. It's very unfortunate your unit had to suffer a loss of a Marine and my prayers are for him and his family along with the rest of the men who didnt make it home.

Please take care of yourself during liberty and dont try to "catch up" on all the things you have missed out on for the past 7 months.
